COSE Fun(d)raising: Sue King reports…
As winter rolls onto spring we rejoice in warmer weather, longer days and more colourful gardens.
Like the staple norm for most voluntary run, not for profit groups and church’s like COSE, we have fundraising activities such as Trivia Nights (October 12th Bring your family and friends for fun and frivolity. Tickets are only $20 or $15 concession. There’s lots of answering, auctioning and beverages, BYO nibbles.)
Readings’ Days on the third Saturday of each month until November and, of course;
Regular raffles linked with Easter, Mother’s Day (2019 Winners: 1st, $70 gift card to Veronica Dillion of Altona Senior Citz.; 2nd, $50 to Lee, who operates the Saigon Sun restaurant in Railway Street Altona and 3rd went to our own official greeter. John King)
The COSE Anniversary raffle was drawn with similar prizes of gift cards after the Celebratory Anniversary Service on August 18th. Winners were Graeme White, Andrew Finlay and Jan Wilson.
Remember, whenever you’re at COSE I invite you to check-out our refreshed and newly energised shop. The stock on show is constantly changing with all sorts of crystals, Feng Shui and lots of useful bric a brac. Prices are negotiable on most items and I if I can reduce an item at all, I will.
It is nice to share with friends something you enjoy cooking; perhaps your signature cake or savoury. Bring it along on a Sunday for all to enjoy after the service when we have a cuppa and a friendly chat in an informal circle.
My personal thanks to President Barbara and Shane for the fresh look church foyer. It looks lovely!
Also, thanks to all the COSE Light workers and congregation members. Without what you put into our church we, you and I, would not succeed in our work as Christian Spiritualists. Love and Light to you, and to you and your families, for all that you share with us
Love and Light
